 Welcome to the Avery Lab!

I am a professor and conservation biologist at Penn State University in the
Department of Ecosystem Science and Management. Research in our lab ranges from the effects of industrial sound pollution upon wildlife populations to the ecological and evolutionary determinants of animal coloration. I teach courses in conservation genetics, wildlife measurements, herpetology, GIS, and museum collections and outreach.
